There are so many tools and softwares for podcasting, and some of you have been asking which ones I use and recommend. And so today, I have decided to talk about the tools and softwares that can help you on your own podcast journey.

Squadcast
When I started this podcast, I used Zoom for interviews to record and do interviews. Simply because I knew how to use it and my guests knew how to use it too. Also, I’ve guested in other podcasts wherein they have used other softwares apart from Zoom, and it always had a problem. So I stuck with Zoom for a long time, until we moved to a new place.
Our new place posed a lot of problems for me while recording. It sounded echoey and the internet connection wasn’t really good when I’m using Zoom. I had to look for an alternative, and that’s when I remember one tool one of my clients are using, Squadcast. I noticed the quality of their audio was always good. And I know that they record locally and the audio gets stored in the cloud after the recording ends. I thought that was the solution to my internet connection problems.
And I was right, Squadcast was definitely the right choice. It’s user friendly and easily accessible. I now have an annual subscription with them and I’m really happy with the results.
Springcast.fm
For the longest time I’ve been using Buzzsprout as my hosting service. But I recently changed to Springcast.fm because I discovered a lot of things that sets them apart. The main reason is their analytics. They know so much about our podcasts and about our podcast listeners. It’s very helpful in terms of understanding the stats of each episode.
The other cool thing is that they value privacy. It sounds really weird because they know a lot about you, your podcast and your listeners, but they are also privacy driven. And that is very important.
Lastly, they offer a 1 month free service to try out their platform.and they have a moving service. This service makes moving from another hosting platform easier and worry free.

Otter.ai
For transcription, I use Otter.ai. I love it because it’s affordable, fast, and it’s really easy to change the transcript yourself. If you want a more accurate transcript, you can easily go through it and change the words that are not right. For us we create blog posts for the episodes and timestamps for interviews.

Wavve
For audiograms, I use Wavve. I tried other softwares but I always go back to using Wavve. It’s affordable and they keep on improving. One of the features that I have is you can add their logo, and get more minutes for your money.

Buy Me A Coffee is basically a donation tool software. You can ask people to buy you a coffee. This is another way to ask someone to support the show. And I think it just sounds so nice to buy someone a coffee. I bought several people a coffee when I was on their show or when I really loved their content. And it just feels nice to support somebody.
