Different Ways To Monetize Your Podcast With Rose Griffin
What’s great about podcasting is that it can be for anyone, whether you are an entrepreneur, a mother, a teacher, or a speech therapist. You just have to make a system that works for you and remember the most important key in monetization, which is consistency.
In today’s episode, we have invited Rose Griffin to share how consistency leads to her podcast monetization, how and why she started a podcast, and how it’s going. She will also let us know her tips and advice to podcasters who want to monetize their podcast.

[01:32] How and what was the reason behind Rose starting a podcast.
[02:02] I should start my own podcast because there’s not one that’s just about autism.
[02:33] Podcasting has just been so instrumental in her growing my business and because she just likes to talk to people.
[02:46] It’s a way for us to weekly share all about autism and communication.
[04:00] Rose has both a solo and interview episode in her podcast.
[04:33] She’s batching two months in advance and that makes her feel really secure knowing that every week something new is going to come out for people to listen to.
[06:02] Rose has now been podcasting for a year and a half.
[06:20] Changes that she made in her podcast:
[06:33] When she’s about to interview professional golfer Billy Mayfair, she changed her location from her closet to her master bedroom.
[08:09] When did you think about monetizing your podcast?
[08:44] Her podcast was purchased by a company to be used on their website.
[11:13] A podcast partnership where she puts ads on her podcast episode and tag them on instagram
[12:02] Dynamic ad means that the ad is not in your episode forever or you can take it out.
[12:38] For her, consistency is very important to get partnership with brands and companies.
[13:52] Hiring caliber guests is also one factor to get partnerships.
[15:11] Things that Rose does that makes brands come back.
[15:22] Try to be engaged with your partnered brands’ content.
[15:51] If you have a podcast partnership, you have to contact and do what you say yor are going to do.
[16:17] Being consistent with every touchpoint in our business, whether it’s LinkedIn, Instagram and Tiktok.
[17:20] Being extremely consistent might be the easiest way to let your podcast organically grow over time.
[18:03] You have to have a content stream,a content framework and use the idea of batching.
[19:19] Whatever schedule works for you, it can be once a month, once a week, or twice a month but for Rose at least weekly is really what you need to do.
[20:56] How does Rose come up with their rates for partnership?
[23:53] No one expects you to keep your prices at the same level. Your podcasts grow your prices go up as well.
[24:46] Anne’s tip: With every partnership I increase my prices until everyone says no.
